Rock Hard Abs – Tips For The Kitchen

If you’re like most guys, you want six shiny bumps where that big lump of lard hangs over your stomach.  At the very Rock Hard Abs - Tips For The Kitchenleast you want to be able to take a walk down the beach without having to suck in your gut.  It’s about time you did something about it.

Any workout plan for a 6-pack involves two separate tracks.  You need to be doing the right things in the gym, and you need to be eating the right things in the kitchen.  Without one or the other, you’ll never achieve abdominal greatness.

The path to abs greatness starts in the kitchen.  You need to completely reevaluate your eating habits.  If you want ripped abs, the only way to get there is to reduce your caloric intake, while increasing your protein.  More lean meat, more eggs – if you’re trying to control high cholesterol at the same time, try fish that’s rich in Omega-3, like albacore tuna or salmon.  The more carbs you remove, the easier it will be to keep this diet up – try replacing at least one carb serving a day with a protein, and make sure there’s a protein present at every meal, especially breakfast.  Protein at breakfast will fill you up longer, helping to keep your daily calorie count down, and will give you more energy, allowing you to really make the most of your time at the gym.

Take a deep breath, pull out a garbage bag, and open your pantry.  Start throwing out everything that stands between you and your dream, right now.  Potato chips?  Gone.  Pretzels?  Gone.  Beer?  Gone.  Nobody said you’re not going to make sacrifices.  If you need to snack during the day, cucumber slices, red peppers, and baby carrots all go well with hummus, low fat cottage cheese, or fat free sour cream mixed with low sodium onion soup mix (try it, it’s great!).  Hard boil a dozen eggs at the beginning of the week to have a nice protein snack throughout the week.  The key here is making your kitchen abs friendly.  If you remove all potential landmines now, while you’re feeling motivated, you won’t trip up later, in a moment of weakness.

Now that you’ve taken care of the kitchen, all that’s left is the gym!
